A Mom Thinks A Furry Convention Is An Event For Dogs.
It’s an easy mistake to make. I mean, what is more furry than a dog? You see, a senior producer at New York Times, Kenny Wassus, has a very special mother, Cheryl Wassus and she has a very special therapy dog named Link.
When she heard that Motor City Furry Convention was coming to Town. And that it was going to raise money for Pets for Vets. She was ecstatic to go to the convention. She had obviously never heard of furries before.
So the encounter was interesting to say the least.
my mom thought furrycon was a pet event and volunteered w our therapy dog ? pic.twitter.com/mizlydLxjl

Not Surprisingly, Link Was Super Popular.
Everyone Was Loving His Very Realistic Dog Suit.
Link Didn’t Seem To Mind The Attention Either.
Link Is A Very Good Boy
Cheryl Had Never Heard Of Furries Before But She Quickly Became Very Comfortable With Them.
She was quite fascinated by their cultures and seemed to learn a lot. However, she don’t think she will be joining them any time soon. As the following is what she had to say about the whole ordeal.
I had no idea I was walking into Furry Con. It was a little embarrassing at first because Link was just a little curious why people were wearing tails, so he was doing some serious tail-sniffing and checking out people.
They weren’t offended, though, they just embraced him. It was all good. Just a real interested community.
No, I don’t think so. No. You know, you get a little older, a little menopausal, and being in that many layers and layers of fur. No need to be overheating. I’m good.
Many positive things did come out of this encounter though. Cheryl and Link were also able to raise $10,000 for Pets For Vets, so all’s well that ends well.
