Love, life and death have always wondered us with their mystical twists and turns. There is always so much left to learn, and yet sometimes everything seems meaningless. Words are not enough to describe the emotions they kindle in our hearts and the thoughts they provoke in our minds.
Love is beautiful; it brings the joy, the warmth, fuels our passion to live and make the most memorable moments in our life. Love can sometimes bring about the most painful experiences in our life when it’s hard to explain that “Why it hurts so much!”
Gypsie Raleigh, an artist, author, poet and playwright from Portland, Oregon has created a remarkable series of dark comics which tries to explain the grim realities of love, life and death which are hard to put into words. Gypsie has done a fantastic job. Her comic series delivers such powerful impressions of the painful experiences that it leaves you to think for hours. Where words could not get the job done Gypsie has delivered her message in a most impressionable way through her art.
In an interview with Bored Panda, Gypsie talked about her inspiration behind her art, ““Sometimes life leaves me speechless. When I fail to find the words, I try to find an image that can speak in my silence. My drawings have been inspired by everything from the deaths of people close to me, anxiety, and my own broken heart–to seeing an old bird cage or having a bad work day. I turned to art, because my parents raised me off the grid in the Mount Hood Wilderness, and there wasn’t anything better to do. At the time, I was just sad that I didn’t have friends. Now, it’s a way of life.”
Let’s check out the amazing work of Gypsie which is the real inspiration of her own life’s painful experiences.
