Compassion towards others is just what we need in the world.
We don’t necessarily have to do big things to change the world. We don’t even need to spend considerable sums to bring a change. All we really need is first a pure intention, and then the rest follows itself. We can all learn from the example of this 12-year-old boy named Darius Brown.
Darius has been making bow ties for the shelter animals so they can have a better chance at finding a forever home! After the horrific events of Hurrican Harvey and Irma in 2017, many people were forced to leave their cats and dogs behind, and as a result, euthanasia became more frequent. In hopes to save all the homeless dogs and cats, this 12-year-old came up with a beautiful yet brilliant idea and started making fancy ties for these animals.

Here’s the legend we are talking about!
But there’s a little backstory to Darius’s big achievement too. At two years of age, he was diagnosed with speech, comprehension, and fine motor skills delay.
At the age of 8, he started helping his older sister in making bow ties which tremendously sharpened his motor skills.
His early involvement with the bow ties also helped him with his goal later on.

Even the former President Barak Obama acknowledged Darius’s fantastic work. How cool is that?
This legend is not only working for a positive change, but he is also setting an example for the rest of us.
And that’s not all. At the age of only 11, he founded a pet couture company “Beaux & Paws” that produces fancy and unique bow ties for people and their pets on demand.
Darius also has his own Instagram page with a current fan-following of 43.6K!

Darius’s sister has recently launched a campaign to help fund his generous mission to save more pets this summer. “He motivates and inspires me every day. He is such an incredible young man, and I will do everything I can to help him on his journey. I’m supporting him in his cause 100%, and I hope you will join me. No donation is too small,” says 21-year-old Dazhai.
