This Polish Painter Figured Out The Secret To “Photographing Dreams” And It’s Terrifying

Painters and artists around the world have an uncanny ability to leave us in shock and awe. Some of them even leave us wordless and astonished. Allow me to introduce to you the surreal world of master polish painter Zdzisław Beksiński, who creates art as ghastly and haunting as Edgar Allan Poe writes poetry.

He has figured out how to paint dreams

And he uses his talent to create these surreal paintings that are equal parts chilling as they are terrifying. Unfortunately, Beksiński passed away on the 22nd of February, 2005. He was renowned in all of Poland, and was more than just a painter, he was a sculptor, a photographer, and even a construction site supervisor. The latter job didn’t appeal to him as much as the artistic world did.

So, he painted these vivid and horrifying images that chill you down to your spine and you aren’t really sure why it’s creeping you out, you just know that it is. Even if Beksiński himself has passed away, his legacy will live on in this beautiful and nightmarish images.

  1. So, another lie… he did not “photograph” dreams. He painted stuff that could possibly be a dream. NOT the same thing people.

    • it’s not about photographing dreams as taking pictures just meaning reproducting the dreams in paintings, but yea the fact is that it’s made well not many manage to remember their dreams.
