Two Seniors Keep Up A Joke For Almost Three Years.
Twenty-one year old Michelle Arendas and twenty-two year old Josh Avsec are both seniors at Kent State University In Ohio. However, they did not know each other before this incident.
They matched in Tinder in 2014. Tinder was a pretty new thing for Avsec and his whole group of friends. He might have matched with many girls, but he took that as a joke. He would greet them with pretty humorous lines.
Avsec Went Out On A Limb And Sent Arendas A Casual Message Because She Seemed ‘Different’ Than Others.
“Tinder was super new at the time for my whole friend group. At the time I had matched with a whole bunch of girls and I took it as a joke. I sent them some pretty humorous lines.” Avsec said.
He continued. “And then I bumped into Michelle. She seemed a little different, so I sent her something different.”
Her Answer To Josh’s Message Was Quite Astonishing.
Arendas explained the whole situation. She actually re-downloaded the Tinder application quite a few times. So, she would miss some messages or would read them too late.
“I wasn’t too serious about messaging — that’s why I messaged him something funny.” She said.
She Was Quite Surprised When He Answered.
They Continued The Joke For Quite A Long Time.
“I was not really expecting he would message me back and play along with it. As I thought my message to him would be the end of it.” Arendas said.
“I didn’t think she was interested. I just took it as a joke, so every couple of months I’d check Tinder, and I’d get a message.” Avsec explained.
Avsec Shared The Screenshot Of Their Conversations. “It was just for my buddies to appreciate,” he said.
