Math is incredibly hard.
I am sure many of you will argue with me on that. But let’s put it this way, I have never been a big fan of maths. (That doesn’t mean I’m horrendously bad at it.) Now, I know not many people like to use their brains when they are on the Internet.
After all, aren’t all of us just trying to get away from our stressful life by mindlessly scrolling through Facebook? (No? Just me? Moving on…) Today, however, you’re going to have to use a little bit of that thing you call your brain.
You see, a few days ago, someone posted a tricky math problem that might be confusing at first but in reality is pretty simple. But I won’t spoil it for you so here it is.
Can you figure it out?
Do you already have the answer? Or are you not sure? Well, whatever your answer, Let’s break it down to simplify it. You see, rather than looking at the problem as a whole. Why not make it easier for yourself to break it down in two?
-60 + 70 = 10 and -80 + 90 = 10.
Now, that wasn’t so hard, was it?
So yes, the answer is $20.
The man has $20 left. Although I think the real riddle is the question is why the man bought the horse twice? Don’t put on your detective’s hat because we’ll likely never know the answer to that question.
