USWNT has secured their win and retained their title by scoring 2-0 in the world cup final against the Netherlands! How awesome is that?
This is definitely a very proud moment for the whole of the United States, especially for all the female players! Winning any match is never easy, but winning the world cup? It clearly requires a lot of hard work and dedication. So, a big shout out to our women’s national soccer team for never giving up, keeping their head high and for making us all very proud!

While we see our sports stars celebrating their big achievement everywhere on social media, something completely different has been making quite some headlines lately. You see when FIFA president Gianni Infantino stepped into the pitch after the US beat the Netherlands in the world cup final, the whole stadium began chanting for the female players saying “Equal Pay! Equal Pay!”
Ever since then, people from around the globe have started talking about how women soccer players are underpaid as compared to their male counterparts. And believe me when I tell you that this has sparked quite a debate on the internet!

World Cup performance Men Vs Women.
Some more comparison.
That is actually a very good point, but I don’t think we are considering all the facts.
Only if it were that easy.
Though we all love our women’s soccer team, this is the real reason why there’s a pay gap.
While some people keep demanding equal or more pay, others kept explaining why it’s not possible, and I think the latter makes sense.
One word answer: Revenue.
In practice, it doesn’t matter which soccer team is better; it’s all about which team generates more revenue.
It’s kinda sad, but it’s true.
The only way female players can have higher pay is if their game generates more revenue.
A lot of factors are involved.
But not everyone is pointing fingers. In a place where everyone is divided, some people are promoting unity.
USWNT has definitely shown us that women can be just as good and even better than men!
It’s a moment of celebration for everybody.
I certainly do wish there was a way we could do more for them, but it appears that’s not up to us.
Who would you guys side with? Do you think female players should have an equal or a higher pay or do you think we should just enjoy and celebrate the victory of the United States as a whole? Let us know in the comments below.
